The Brampton Neighbourhood Resource Center (BNRC) requests a French Program Facilitator for BNRC Ontario Early Years Program.

The Brampton Neighbourhood Resource Center is seeking a Bilingual (French/English) individual with a Registered Early Childhood Education Diploma (or equivalent) who is energetic, creative, responsible and flexible to facilitate French programs for families with children birth to 6 years of age. This person should enjoy and possess experience working with families with children birth to 6 years.
The French Program Facilitator will report to Manager, BNRC Ontario Early Years Program
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement and facilitate age appropriate French programs for families with children from birth to 6 years of age
- Liaise with the community for potential partnerships to offer programs within the community for French speaking families
- Conduct outreach into the community to promote programs and services available.
- Participate in Community committees regarding the French community
- Offer both Francophone and French Immersion programs
- Develop and deliver Parenting workshops for the French community
- Provide support to families with children birth to 6 years (referrals to other services & supports, informal discussions)
- Supervising students and volunteers in programs and provided constructive feedback for evaluation purposes as needed
- Ensure that Manager is aware of any issues or concerns that may arise in programs
Qualifications:
- Registered ECE or equivalent
- Bilingual (French/English)
- Minimum 2 years experience working with children birth to 6 years and their parents
- Experience in Parenting Education is an asset
- Must provide a recent, clean Criminal Reference Check-Vulnerable Sector
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Solid ability to work independently or within a team environment
- CPR, First Aid Certification (desirable)
- Willingness to work some evening and/or weekend shifts as programming and service-delivery needs require
This is a full-time position scheduled to work 35 hours per week.
Salary: $20 per hour
Duration of Contract: asap to March 31st, 2010 (automatic renewal provided funding remains available)
