Life Skills Coaches Training Phase I

YWCA of Toronto invites you to the Life Skills Coaches Training Phase I.

This is a five day training program requiring some evening work for participants

Life Skills coaches work with groups to teach generic problem-solving skills necessary to successfully managing all aspects of life: self, family, community, career, and leisure. It is a proven method for facilitating groups, providing leaders with the theory and techniques to facilitate any group effectively.

Life Skills training is based on experiential learning. Trainees "learn by doing" as they experience typical life skills lessons in the course and present their own lesson in each phase of the training program.

Who should take this training?

Professionals working in the public and business sectors, including employment, social services, education, corrections, training and development, addictions, mental health and human resources, among others.

Course materials include the text The NEW Dynamics of Life Skills Coaching

The next training is scheduled for December 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, 2009
