The Canadian Coalition for Community-Based Employability Training (CCCBET) has launched a toolkit of leadership best practices for the community-based training sector.
Emerging from a two-year national research project on the need for leadership development and succession planning in the CBT sector, the toolkit was officially launched at the CCCBET’s national conference in February 2004. All conference materials and PDF forms of the toolkit are also now available online.
Toolkit materials include:
- A general document on leadership, outlining leadership trends, models, definitions and a bibliography of suggested further reading:
- Seven key leadership fact sheets:
- A collection of twenty-seven case studies of best practices from community-based trainers across Canada
- An annotated bibliography on leadership
- An exchange program document with tips on building professional development exchanges in the community-based training sector; sample exchange models, formats and roles; considerations, pointers and opportunities; sample exchange agreements; sample exchange evaluations
