Self-Employment Training for Women

Date: July 2, 2008
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Location: Microskills  200 Consumers Rd, 9th Floor Toronto ( North York /Scarbrough)

Developed by women for women

In our Self-Employment Training (SET) program you can:
•    Learn about myths and realities of Self-Employment
•    Discover techniques to help you balance business and family needs
•    Develop skills to start up and operate a business in Canada
•    Access our Business Resource Library, computers and internet for business research
•    Prepare a three-year business plan for your business
•    Access support during your business start-up
•    Participate in group and individual business coaching
•    Participate in workshops and Networking opportunities with other women entrepreneurs

Program Duration

The program offers 22 weeks of classroom training and 13 weeks of support during business start-up
Start date: TBA

Who can apply?
•    Women with a viable business idea
•    Low income women
•    Women receiving Social Assistance Benefits (OW or ODSP)

How to apply?

•     Call Rebecca
•    Walk in to fill out an application form 9:30-3 pm, Monday to Friday, or
•    Attend information sessions at 200 Consumers Rd, 9th Floor every Wednesday at 10:00 am
