Hate Crimes Training for Domestic Violence Service Providers

Date: April 30, 2008 to June 18, 2008
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: cities across Ontario  tba Kingston, Belleville, Ottawa

The Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children (METRAC) is holding the 'Respect for All People' training sessions, which are designed to support Ontario service providers of women experiencing violence.

These day-long workshops will take place in 11 cities across Ontario in April, May, and June. They focus on anti-hate Legislation and the subtle forms of prejudice that can occur within in our organizations.

Participants will learn about the issues and gain practical skills to address it in their day-to-day service provision.

Trainings will be held in the following regions:

  • April 30: Kingston, Central Library Branch, 130 Johnson St., Delahaye Room (2nd fl.)
  • May 1: Belleville, Core Centre, 223 Pinnacle St.
  • May 2: Ottawa, Hintonburg Centre, 1064 Wellington St.
