A Review of the Newcomer's Guide to Canadian Housing

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), Canada's national housing agency, is conducting a national Review of the Newcomer's Guide to Canadian Housing (the Guide). The Guide is a 44-page booklet with information on renting, buying a home, landlord-tenant relations and other housing topics.

This Review is intended to identify ways of improving the information which CMHC offers to newcomers to Canada and to organizations providing services to newcomers. CMHC has retained the services of SPR Associates to conduct the Review.

The first part of the study, surveys of newcomers to Canada, prospective newcomers, and organizations which aid newcomer settlement has come to a close.  The researchers wish to present the results of the surveys, and to obtain your aid in interpreting the results, and making recommendations for CMHC's future publications for newcomers on housing.
